Job responsibilities

Supporting
senior investment professionals focused on healthcare industry

Participating
in execution
of live
investment transactions from start to closing

Conducting industry
and company
research, and preparing
internal investment reports with hands-on guidance
from experienced investment professionals

Participating in
deal screening, making recommendations, and synthesizing key insights
-
Performing
financial valuation, discounted cash flow and multiples-based analyses
-
Building and using
financial models
Position
qualifications
-
Master
or PhD candidates in Biomedical Engineering, Life Science or Clinical Medicine,
expecting Master or PhD degrees in 2016
-
Strong
desire to learn financial analysis techniques and to develop a long-term
career in financial investment industry
-
Outstanding
academic achievement, with strong interest in related technology frontiers
and latest applications

Strong entrepreneurship
and teamwork skills
-
Excellent verbal
and written communication skills in both English and
Mandarin
-
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
-
Good business sense,
with basic knowledge in finance and accounting
-
Previous internship experience in investment banking, equity
research, consulting or VC/PE firms will be a plus
About
Waterwood’s Intern Analyst program
-
The intern analyst will be based in Waterwood’s Beijing Office in Yingu
Mansion (银谷大厦), 9 N 4th Ring Rd W, Haidian, Beijing
-
The intern analyst is expected to work for at least four days per week, for at
least four consecutive months, starting from November 2015. Limited domestic travel may be required. Waterwood is
flexible to extend the internship, if the intern’s performance is
satisfactory
-
Waterwood’s investment professionals will provide systematic and
valuable training on basic financial analysis, modeling, valuation, and
research skills. The intern analyst will
learn even much more from the first hand experience in the day-to-day work
to screen and evaluate investment opportunities, as well as from execution
of live transactions
