- China Commercial Graduates Program
- Commodity trading industry is a promising but relative new industry in China. Over the past 20 years, Trafigura China has consistently invested in developing our business in China. We are very committed to being present in the China for the long term and are focused on growing local commercial talent. We want to grow young local talent who understand the China market, and are engaged in developing careers in commodity trading in China.
- The China Commercial Graduates program is designed to give graduate hires a good foundation for commercial careers. The 2-year China based program provides 3 rotations in commercial traffic, deals desk and trade finance. Those with proven performance and demonstrated commercial potential will be given the opportunity for a commercial marketer role afterwards.
- Minimum requirements:
- Fresh graduates and up to 2 years’ experience. Fluency in English is a must.
- Preferred majors in Finance, Trading, Economic and English.
- Has a strong interest in commodity trading industry and committed to developing a long term career in China.
- Entrepreneurial mindset. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Cross cultural exposure and experience is an advantage.

- Operations
- Post deal, the operations team executes the physical contractual obligations of the trade for the best commercial advantage of the Company, whilst ensuring compliance with all regulations and legislation.
- Trade Finance
- We are responsible for the financing of all Trafigura’s physical business, whilst developing banking lines, optimizing costs, highlighting credit and commercial risks and proactively engaging key partners.
- Deals Desk
- We proactively report and monitor : Market exposure, PnL and Volumetric position for the group with accuracy and integrity providing the group with the base data used to control commercial activity.
