About us - The Center of American States

Strategically located in Shanghai, China's most economically dynamic city, the Center of American States is the premier organization for representing US States and cities and their businesses' broad and growing interests in China. At the Center of American States, we focus on bringing Chinese foreign direct investment into our states and developing their businesses in China. Since our establishment in 1996 as the first US state office in China, we have grown to include 6 US States (Maryland, Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Arizona, Tennessee) and Washington DC. We are a public/private partnership of state governments and committed private enterprises who share our determination in advancing strong economic ties between the US and China at the sub-national level.

Duties and responsibilities:
1. Make extensive market research and information collection and put together into database;
进行信息搜寻和收集整理，制作数据库；
2. Cold-calling and support in connection build-up when necessary;
必要时协助电话沟通，帮助建立联系；
3. Help with translations;
简单翻译；
4. Support in other related projects when necessary.
支持其他相关项目。

Requirements:
1. Senior undergraduates or postgraduates with basic English skill, major in science or engineering preferred;
高年级本科生或研究生，具一定英文水平，理工科优先；
2. Available at least 2-3 days per week;
每周至少2-3天；
3. Eager to learn, responsible and willing to try;
