2016 HSBC China Summer Internship Programme
Over eight weeks, you will gain exposure to real-life projects in a fast-paced environment, building your knowledge of banking knowledge, taking a glance of banking practice and developing your analytical and communication skills.

Commercial Banking Internship
This eight-week internship for penultimate-year students gives you first-hand experience of how we provide our customers with solutions to support their growth ambitions. You'll be encouraged to take on responsibility and bring new ideas to the table, while learning about the foundations of Commercial Banking and the drivers of customer satisfaction. Perform well and you could secure a place on our sector-specific global graduate programme.

 

Retail Banking and Wealth Management Internship
Your time on this eight-week internship will be split between a branch or contact centre and a role in one of our specialist teams in head office so you can appreciate the range and complexity of our business.

Global Banking Internship
Global Banking and Markets focuses on building partnerships with our clients and uses our international network to help them achieve consistent, long-term performance. Searching for undiscovered opportunities on an international level enables us to develop products and services for governments, corporates and institutions.
Our Global Banking and Markets 8-week internships offer wide exposure to a fast-paced investment banking environment, with a combination of hands-on experience, formal training and mentoring.
Perform well and you could be offered a place on one of our Global Banking and Markets global graduate programmes.

 

Programme Synopsis
Duration: 8 weeks of full-time paid internship, starting from the first Monday of July 2016
Areas: Retail Banking and Wealth Management, Commercial Banking, Global Banking

Who can apply?
This programme is for students in their penultimate year of university study, who're expected to achieve their certificate during Sep 2016 - Jul 2017.

Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou

What to expect
You'll complete an eight-week placement, where you'll contribute to a live project or a number of transactions, working with products and services experts across our international network. There will also be regular business and social events for you to attend in order to begin building a network of contacts.

Learning, development and support
The programme is composed of induction, tailor-made class-room training and placement. You'll join your placement team, where you'll receive a combination of practical experience and classroom training, and learn how our people tailor these to provide customers with solutions. You'll also be assigned a mentor and paired with a buddy during the 8 weeks' programme to enrich your experience.
