Introduction

For our Corporate Technology (CT) in Beijing, Siemens is looking for a research scientist at the earliest opportunity. Corporate Technology (CT) with over 1,900 research operatives worldwide, occupies a special position within Siemens' R&D facilities. It functions as an international network of expertise and as a global partner for technology and innovations. Power and Energy Technology (PET) is a technology field in Corporate Technology, which is focused on carrying out cutting-edge research and supporting R&D activities in business units, in the area of power and energy.

What are my responsibilities?

• To carry out data processing and data analysis & data mining for electrical power system application

• To carry out R&D of machine learning algorithm application in energy management domain

• To carry out the development and system integration of machine learning algorithm in software platform

What do I need to qualify for this job?

A Research Scientist who has strong R&D capability of data mining and development and integration of machine learning algorithms.

Detailed requirements: 

• Major in computer and software engineering( research field; Database; Information processing technology; Natural language processing, Graph data；Artificial intelligence ); Ph.D. will be preferred

• Knowledgeable/Experienced

• Mastery of using at least one of RMatlabpython

• Proficient in Big Data analysis methods; Familiar with the principles of Machine Learning algorithms

• Proficient in main databases, such as Oracle, MySQL

• Familiar withJavaEE/ C development

• Familiar with small development net. Know about VMware, Cloud Computing technologies and so on

• Know about software engineering knowledge, familiar with team cooperation tools like SVN etc.

• Good team work spirits

• Good at English reading, writing, listening and speaking
