Assistant Professor Baile Chen’s research group is seeking a research assistant to work closely with the principal investigator, post doc and students in the laboratory. Current project focus in the areas of optoelectronics semiconductor device such as III-V semiconductor photodiodes and laser diodes. The position is available immediately for one year, with extension as an option based on productivity and funding. The position will report to Dr Baile Chen.
Qualifications:
(1)A master degree or bachelor degree in electrical engineering, physics, or materials science.
(2)Good skills in LABVIEW programming for device test automation such as I-V, C-V, bandwidth test .
(3)Basic knowledge of semiconductor device fabrication and device characterization is highly desirable.
(4)Ability to work with PI on equipment procurement and maintenance, ordering of supplies and maintaining records on lab safety and compliance.
(5)Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
