The Role and Job Responsibilities:

We are currently recruiting for Data Operation Engineers to join our Shanghai based team and supplement our global Data Operations team.  This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established firm with a global presence and significant growth potential.

Reporting to the Head of Shanghai Office, the role involves (but is by no means limited to):

You will assist in data acquisition, data processing and reporting processes. Ideally, you will bring your interest in large-scale numerical data collection and financial market data processing to the team along with resourcefulness and a collaborative work ethic.

Responsibilities:

• Monitoring data processes and reporting

• Databases maintenance and optimization

Key Qualifications/Skills Required:

To be considered for this role you will have the following qualifications and skills:

• Bachelor or Master in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry or related fields is preferred

• Knowledge of a scripting programming language, such as Perl, Shell, Python

• Knowledge of SQL

• Ability to analyse and solve problems

• Work independently, results driven & detail oriented

• Flexible and efficient at multitasking assignments

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English

Desirable:

• Experience of Perl/Python

• Knowledge of financial markets and financial data
