INVESTMENT BANKING DIVISION – FINANCING GROUP OVERVIEW

Debt Capital Markets (“DCM”) group provides clients with advice and execution related to credit and credit-linked offerings, including in the Chinese onshore bond markets. DCM also assists clients in their communication with the capital markets, both in context of transactions and as part of their continued investment relation efforts. The role involves exposure to a broad range of sectors and products offering an excellent opportunity for comprehensive and diverse training as well as a solid platform for enhanced career development.

Equity Capital Markets (“ECM”) group assists clients in IPOs, equity offerings, capital raisings and equity-linked issuance and originates, structures, and executes equity, convertible and equity derivative financings and solutions. The group cultivates day-to-day advisory relationships with multinational corporations, private companies, governments and financial sponsors. It works closely with many other areas of the firm, particularly Equity Sales & Trading and Classic Banking.

IBD FG BEIJING OFF-CYCLE PROGRAM OVERVIEW

？ Materials for client pitches including analysis of financing alternatives, marketing and distribution strategies, etc.

？ Frequent interaction with other teams across IBD and other divisions, locally as well as globally

？ Everyday contact with the public side to gather market feedback on specific companies and sectors

ASSIGNMENT DURATION

？ 3 months (January to March/ April to June/ September to November)

QUALIFICATIONS

？ Final year student or recent graduate (within 12 months of graduation)

？ A keen, long-term interest in financing

？ Strong quantitative and technical abilities.

？ Drive, enthusiasm, creativity and excellent interpersonal skills.

？ Personal integrity, initiative and leadership qualities

？ Strong verbal and written communications skills as well as strong multi-tasking and time management skills

？ Ability to work as part of a team in an environment that demands excellence, time and energy

？ Fluency in English and Mandarin (both written and oral)
