Role Purpose

 

The Associate will be part of Wood Mackenzie’s oil downstream consultant team, which sets the message and methodology for the consultancy business, providing demand forecasts for a number of Wood Mackenzie services and consulting projects. The focus of activities will be to provide products and services focused on petroleum demand at main product and sector levels primarily for China while supporting similar work of other North Asian countries.

 

The successful candidate will work in a small global team developing knowledge on oil product demand, forecasting both short and long term trends, occasionally supporting consultancy assignments.  The role offers the opportunity for an individual to develop forecasting techniques and knowledge through interactions with demand specialists in other regions, while working closely with Wood Mackenzie downstream consultant teams in Singapore and Beijing to integrate views on product markets in China and across Asia Pacific countries.

 

In line with Wood Mackenzie’s position as an integrated energy consulting firm, developing views on alternative technologies and consequent demand responses will be important, as well as the impact of environmental legislation on oil demand.
