职位描述 | Position Summary The Grants Coordinator coordinates the pre-award planning, organization and preparation, and the compliance with human subjects research protection program. She/he will work directly with NYU Shanghai faculty to ensure timely submission of grant proposals, in accordance with the needs of the research plan, and agency and University requirements. She/he will also work closely with Research Compliance Office to ensure completion of IRB review process prior to conducting research. The Grants Coordinator will report to the Pre-award Manager at NYU Shanghai. Responsibilities • Ensures that notices of relevant new funding opportunities for research programs are brought to the attention of faculty and researchers to whom they are relevant; • Interprets guidelines of multiple funding agencies with broad and complex guidelines for proposal preparation and submission regulations; • Gathers needed documentation and ensures all applications meet agency and University guidelines; • Conducts pre-review of all applications to ensure overall completeness and to coordinate internal review and approvals; • Works closely with post-award manger to transit grant administration upon award; • Responsible for tracking proposal activities and achievements and other metrics, and developing reports to provide management insights on research as requested; • Interacts with Research Compliance Office, faculty, students and staff in other departments in relevant areas; • Provides consultation, assistance and dissemination of information regarding the IRB review process; • Intakes of all IRB applications, and conducts pre-review of all protocols to ensure overall protocol completeness and to ensure appropriate protocol routing; • Maintains currency of knowledge of grant funding and human subjects research protection program policies, regulations and procedures; • Other tasks as assigned. Qualification • Required Education Master's degree or above • Required Experience Prior experience related to research grants, especially Chinese grants, strongly preferred. International work/study experience strongly preferred. • Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Works within established policies and procedures to perform day-to-day job duties, identify potential or actual problems, formulate possible solutions and take appropriate actions to resolve the issues/problems. Flexible and able to deal with seasonal high volume and rigid deadlines. Ability to work with relative independence, communicate issues and progress effectively and receive guidance on complex problems and issues. Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and time management skills, attention to details, able to meet deadlines. Team-work oriented and problem solving capabilities. |
