Job Responsibilities
The cloud computing researchers at IBM Research – China develop and apply differentiated technologies to IBM products and services to enable significant businesses values for enterprises. Our focus areas include but not limited to:
- Cognitive Computing Platform: Our cognitive computing platform SuperVessel (ww***com[点击查看]) was developed by IBM Research. China to provide end-to-end services from modeling, training to API service. The research task of this position aims to explore and solve the technical challenges of deep learning, including the deep neurula network design, fine tuning, and optimization. Successful candidate for this vacancy needs to have a background in deep learning, be familiar with the popular deep learning framework such as Caffe, Torch, and/or Theano. Experienced in image processing and recognition.
- Cloud Data Service: focuses on the next generation of IBM's Cloud Data Service. This area of research requires deep research and develop service provision, resource management, service monitoring and dev-ops of Cloud Data Service.
- Cloud Operational Analytics: focuses on business and operational insights extraction from large aggregated data. This deep learning based approach can enable support across application performance management, problem determination and trouble shooting, capacity planning.
Job Requirements
- We are looking for PhD candidates in Computer Science, Automation, Electronics Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related areas. The ideal person should be creative, flexible, and technically capable of solving problem in the real world.
- The successful applicant will be an outstanding researcher with a proven track-record in areas of Cloud computing, big data analytics, system and software engineering, or related areas.
- Possesses software development experience and strong programming skills.
- Show strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Creative, passionate and self-motivated.
- A team player with excellent communication skills in Chinese and/or English.
