As a leader of IBM's global IoT research team, IBM China Research team has been actively driving IBM's global strategy, technology and product growth in this area. Our research have been applied in many IBM products and solutions for leading clients in automotive, logistics, insurance, transportation, electronics, and manufacturing.
Job Responsibilities
Currently, our focused research directions include:
- Connected Vehicle: including roadside air quality analysis and optimization, intelligent driving assistance, and smarter mobility services.
- Telematics Insurance: including behavior based customer insights/profiling, advanced insurance risk scoring model, automatic fraud detection, wellness analysis, etc.
- Cognitive IoT Data Analyitcs: analyzing new types of IoT data (image, video, acoustic, text) for various industry scenarios and underlying platform technologies research.
- Cognitive IoT Acoustic Analytics: using acoustic modeling and signal processing, pattern recognition and deep learning technologies to understand the hidden information from acoustic data.
- Cognitive IoT Graph Analytics: Using machine learning, graph signal processing and graph theory to understand and analyze non-intuitive knowledge.
- Cognitive IoT Industry 4.0 Operation Analytics: including Industry 4.0 manufactory quality analytics, learning and optimization, industrial assets after-market operational analytics for productivity optimization, etc.
- Cognitive Technical Support Analytics.
Job Requirements
- Master or PhD degree in data mining, statistics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, digital signal processing, acoustic/speech recognition, graph theory, natural language processing, physical/environmental modeling or related areas.
- Good software programming and system integration skills, mastery at least one prevailing analytics programming languages in Java, R, SPSS, Spark, etc.
- World-class research and innovation capabilities in data analytics, optimization, simulation, high performance computing or related areas. A proven record of quality journal or conference publications preferred.
- Project experiences in IoT sensor data mining/analysis/optimization and acoustic/speech recognition is a plus.
- R&D or consulting experiences in related industry ( such as Insurance, Auto, Manufacturing, Electronics, etc.) is a plus.
- Experiences in big data analytics and cloud computing is a plus.
- Outstanding learning capabilities, highly responsible, passionate, strong collaboration and communication skills; 8. Readiness for quick on-boarding is a plus.
