Entry-Level, Remote, Part-time Position (Paid) 6-month contract duration (10-15 hours/week)

We are creating the world's first free virtual school -- with content across many subjects, extensive math practice problems, and personalized learning software, for learners with a wide variety of learning objectives.

As we are beginning to form our China strategies, we are looking for an ambitious and talented individual to help us conduct market research in China. You will be responsible for analyzing trends and products, and reporting your findings in an organized and timely manner. We are looking for somebody who is data driven, resourceful in finding information, and interested in technology and education.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• ●  Research market trends, companies, and technological products.

• ●  Communicate research findings in clear and concise reports.

• ●  Produce weekly reports on Chinese education and philanthropy trends.

• ●  Translate documents and reports from/ to Chinese (simplified) and English.

• ●  Perform other research and related duties as required, including ad-hoc reporting.

• ●  Conduct user research interviews.

• ●  Provide input on Khan Academy’s China pilot based on market trends and user feedback.

  YOU NEED

• ●  Fluency in English and Chinese (simplified), both oral and written.

• ●  Academic and/or field research experience.

• ●  Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• ●  Proficient in MS Office and Google Docs.

• ●  Prior experience in Chinese/English translation.

• ●  Prior internship experience in Chinese EdTech or Tech companies preferred.

• ●  Deep understanding of Khan Academy’s products.

• ●  Demonstrated ability to work quickly and independently.

• ●  Comfortable in dealing with ambiguity.

• ●  Take pride in doing whatever is needed to get the job done.

• ●  A thoughtfully con dent yet humble work ethic.
