Atlas Copco (Wuxi) Compressor Co., Ltd., 100 invested by the Atlas Copco Group, is a product company producing compressors and generators for the Compressor Technique and Construction Technique business areas. It develops and manufactures Atlas Copco branded products for the global market and is manufacturing compressor screw elements in the state of the art Wuxitec factory. Atlas Copco (Wuxi) Compressor Co., Ltd.’s output has increased substantially since the operations started in 1994 and is now one of the biggest and most modern screw compressor factories in the region.

Product Engineer                                                                3

Main Responsibility

1. Localizations of new designs with improved performance and optimized cost

2. Make new designs of components and subassemblies for compressors and generators

3. Evaluate cost and quality of the designs.

4. Continuous quality improvement of all current products, combined with cost reduction projects.

Requirements

1. Bachelor or master degree in Mechanical Engineering or Motor, graduated in the field of Thermodynamics, compressors, cryogenics will be a plus.

2. Basic knowledge in machinery design and willing to learn in technical area.

3. Good English both oral and writing.

4. Knowledge of MS Office, CAD tools.

5. Positive, open minded, team spirit, independent, good communication skill

Electrical Designer                                                              1

Main Responsibility

You are responsible for full electrical design of non-standard Oil-free Air products within the project team and in accordance with the requirements of the customer (Contract description, customer specifications and customer comments).

Your tasks and responsibilities include, but not limited to:

·      Performs the necessary drawings and parts lists within the allotted time.

·      Assures drawings are made by Atlas Copco design guidelines (design manual) and / or according to customer specifications.

·      Confers with vendors for the selection of parts / technical applications.

·      Confers with purchasers on selecting suppliers for specific parts.

·      Participates in technical discussions with customers, inspection agencies and Systems / Customer Centers (packaging centers).

·      Has an eye for the safety of the product.

·      Provides for the processing of the design in BPCS / POLS

·      Prepares the necessary instructions, assembly and test. This means that he / she during the design already takes into account (and / or consult with) assembly and test.

·      Verifies design / releases from colleagues.

·      Delegates design to GECIA (where possible).

·      Set up customer specific procedures (specific to the discipline).

·      Involves in buying price negotiations with suppliers.

·      Consults with Systems / Customer centers to carry out the work and determine the most efficient approach to execute the order.

·      Maintain good relationships with Systems / Customer centers.

·      Supports Systems / Customer centers where necessary.

·      Participates in risk analyzes.

·      Develops understanding on customer applications of compressors and dryers.

·      On the specific question of your coach / team leader, you will participate in projects to improve the overall functioning.

·      Willing to travel abroad, limited in duration and number.

Requirements

1.  Bachelor or master degree in Electrical Engineering

2.  Knowledge of instrumentation and controls

3.  Knowledge of electric motors

4.  Knowledge of CAD systems

5.  Smooth with IT tools such as BPCS, Lotus Notes, Excel, Word, ...

6.  Experience with international contractors and Oil & Gas customers is a plus
 

Design Engineer/Field Follow Up Engineer                         1

Main Responsibility

1. You are expected to be responsible for design of multistage centrifuge blower core . Both in current product and new project.

2. You evaluate production test results. If required you give instructions to modify the assembly or you modify the aerodynamic design to match the required performances. Analytical design tools and CAD tools are available for this task.

3. You are expected to give support to daily production if required. When engineering input is required you provide instructions to assist the manufacturing of parts, the assembly and the test of compressor cores. Also you support the quality processes in the shop.

4. You are expected to continuously improve your professional competence by learning yourself and training activities. You are expected to share the knowledge with team members to contribute on team competence maintenance.

5. You are expected to initiate and maintain Design Notification

6. You are expected to do design review of ZH product

7. You are expected to do field follow up job for ZH product

Requirements

1.  Basic knowledge in machinery design and willing to learn in technical area.

2.  Good knowledge of English both oral and writing.

3.  Knowledge of MS office, CAD, Inventor, CATIA is required.

4.  Bachelor or master degree in Mechanical Engineering, graduated in the field of Thermodynamics, compressors, cryogenics is a plus.

CAT and Calibration Engineer                                                   1

Main Responsibility

It will be your mission to deliver high quality services to the compressor and generator design teams in the engineering department. In order to be able to do your investigations, you will have access to the most advanced FEA software in the domain of structural static and dynamic calculation, model validation and optimizations. You will predict the structure strength and dynamic characteristics, perform the design validation and optimization, stay with the engineering teams until the problems are solved.

You will report to the team leader of the N&V and CAE team.

You responsibilities will include:

1. Deliver high qualitative services in the domain of Computer Aided Engineering.

2. Support engineering design team in AC Wuxi and other AC companies on the structure static and dynamic calculations, and make suggestions for improvement of the design.

3. Continuous and strong interaction with the noise and vibration team to perform the model validation and finish the optimizations.

4. Continuously strive for improvement of your services (quality, content, efficiency…) according to the needs of the AC organization.

5. Continuous and strong interaction with the CAE team in Atlas Copco Airpower and India.

6. Continuously work on your knowledge in your domain.

Requirements

1. Fluency in verbal and written English

2. Strong background of FEA theory

3. Knowledge of MS Office.

4. Experience with Hyperworks, MSC/Patran, MSC/Nastran and N&V test is an asset.

5. Master/PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanics or Physics.
