As a Mobile Business Unit (MBU) Market Research Analyst at Micron, you will be responsible for interpreting data, formulating models/reports, supporting existing models and providing strategic recommendations to the roadmap planning and product marketing teams based upon your research findings. You will need to apply qualitative and quantitative techniques to interpret the data and produce substantiated recommendations for long-term business plans.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following areas:
Support Long Term Demand Forecasts
- Support the MOBILE demand market model and application specific models (both tops down and bottoms up).
- Communicate internally and externally to verify demand market model
- Engage with other business units on cross BU application forecasts.
- Support the executive dashboards for MOBILE markets.
Supply-side/ASP Model
Market intelligence on mobile market supply model
Support and give implication on internal operation based on mobile demand and supply balance
Help to give implication on ASP based on demand and supply implications
Support MOBILE memory Competitive Analysis
- Analyze equity research reports, key analyst reports (Gartner, IDC, IHS) and other market reports to assess and evaluate the competitor landscape and identify emerging trends/opportunities.
- Assist in providing competitor assessments to drive segment and customer strategies.
Provide Expertise, Consultation and Ad Hoc Analysis
- Conducting in-depth data analyses using traditional and advanced methods.
- Interpret and present analysis results.
- Assist in the development of market driven material.

- Maintain repository of market presentations.
Qualifications
Successful candidates for the position will have the following:
- 0-1year of data analysis/ market research/semiconductor industry or related experience.
- Comfortable with changing priorities, ambiguity, short deadlines and large data sets.
- Experience working with external industry analysts (Gartner, IDC, IHS)
- Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent project management skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
Education:
- BS degree in Business/statistics/Electronic Engineering or equivalent required
