Equity Research Associate
Position: Equity Research Associate
Location: Shanghai
Report to: Investment team
Responsibilities:
- Assist investment team in conducting in-depth research and analysis of publicly listed companies in China's A and H Share market via both primary and secondary research
- Assist in conducting value-added primary research, including sitting in and summarizing calls with industry experts, conducting market surveys, etc.
- Assist in financial and sector analysis, including collecting information from public filings, broker research, databases (Bloomberg, Wind, ThomsonOne, etc.), analyzing data, and communicating key findings
- Assist in building / updating financial models of target companies
- Assist in preparing private equity style investment decks on target companies
Requirements:
- Uncompromising integrity, open-mindedness
- Excellent research skills, structured thinking and analytical mind
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Willing to work under pressure, have good time-management skills
- Team player
- Excellent English and Chinese skills (listening, reading, writing and conversation)
Typical Profile:
- Undergraduate or Master Degree from top domestic or overseas universities with strong track record of academic achievement
- Some evidence of interest in investing preferred, including
- Manage personal portfolio
- Progress towards CFA
- Involvement in investment club
- Internship experience with buy-side, sell-side, consulting, investment banking or accounting firms
