An investigation group was organized to visit and inspect dozens of famous museums in the world and an architectural design team headed by Tilman Thuermer from Germany to undertake the main renovation for the interior space of Shanghai Museum of Glass. The design of the Museum integrates both new and existing structures, which keeps and highlights the features of the old workshop, and also gives the architecture new functionality and iconic status, created a series of changing of new and old. Shanghai Museum of Glass covers a building area of about 5,000 m2. Shanghai Museum of glass advocated creating a more colorful and wonderful glass art space, in addition, guided by the direction towards community-style development. From the architectural glass to the top of the glass works of art, sharing so as to present the most beautiful and most wonderful technologies to the public.
