Position Description
Purpose of the Position:
Encompasses the application of scientific and technological principles involved in the design, manufacturability, and the operations of products, equipment and systems in a manufacturing environment. Focus is on improvement and design of fiber making process to support performance and cost objectives.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
-Identify, propose and implement equipment & fiber making process improvements for quality, yield and cost improvement
-Lead and support DMAIC improvement projects aimed at improving the process and automation technology related to fiber manufacturing to get the target on schedule
-Support safety improvement by engineering solution
-Provide production support if needed
-Technology Synchronization initiative implementation with sister plants
Project involved with:
-Individual contributor on projects, along with management of DMAIC improvement projects aimed at improving the process and technology related to fiber manufacturing
-Support automation project of fiber making with advanced automation technologies and lean knowledge to reduce quality risk and cost
-Continuously support production performance improvements and problem solving, provide stable, lean, efficient and accurate fiber making capability to achieve business goals
