BMW is a leading company in the area of automated driving with the target to enable automated driving until 2021. To also achieve this target in China, E/E expert in software engineering is needed to push the development of automated driving vehicles forward. This will include access to the top-notch vehicle prototypes of automated driving and the cooperation with an international team all around the world. Now, we have two hot openings in BMW ConnectedDrive Lab China, we are looking forward to working with you in the near future.
Expert R&D Research & Technology - Software Engineer (160003WZ)
Major Responsibilities:
-Implementation of vehicle related software with C and also simulation software in Matlab/ Simulink or similar.
-Develop sensor technologies for perception: ultrasound, LIDAR, radar, stereo vision
-Implementate autonomous vehicle environmental perception functions.
-Develop and integrate HMI & surveillance software for the vehicle system
-Transfer of research results to Munich and BMW China.
Qualifications and Experience:
-Software Engineering degree in automotive/ electrical/ computer engineering or similar
-Excellent knowledge about electronic systems in vehicle
-Excellent knowledge about IT technologies and computer networks: Ethernet, wifi, switches, routers …
-Good understanding of automotive bus systems (e.g. CAN, FlexRay, Ethernet)
-Excellent knowledge in software development with C
Expert R&D Research & Technology - Function & Testing (160003WX)
Major Responsibilities:
-Design algorithms for the function/ brain component to understanding the current situation, making decisions about next maneuver and for short/mid and long-term planning’s for automation functions.
-Test and validation of automated driving function/ brain systems in simulation environments and real vehicle prototype
-Close cooperation with research teams in Shanghai, Mountain View and Munich involving several departments. Active communication to Munich and alignment with activities in Munich.
-Driving and testing prototype cars.
-Transfer of research results to Munich and BMW China.
Qualifications and Experience:
-Degree in Robotics. Alternatively major in Computer Science, Electrical/electronic Engineering with specialization in robotics. Working in perception, learning systems or driver assistance systems.
-Knowledge and experience in robotics algorithms for data fusion, environment perception, or decision making, etc.
-Knowledge and experience in some genres of AI methods, e.g. probabilistic methods, decision tree search, deep neural network, etc.
