Job: Learning Expert Teacher

Job Responsibilities:

1) Co-teach with SETs (Subject Expert Teachers) with providing individualized or small group instruction.

2) Establish and maintain standards of student behavior needed to achieve a functional learning atmosphere in the classroom.

3) Teach Connection course once a week to help students integrate knowledge with real-life situations.

4) Evaluate students’ academic and social development, keep appropriate records and prepare progress reports.

5) Communicate with parents via e-mail, CJ and in-person meetings to discuss students’ progress and interpret BASIS school culture and expectations.

6) Supervise students during classroom transition during the school day.

7) Identify students’ strength and weakness and assess students in learning and social behaviors.

8) Make differentiations of instruction to fulfill students’ diverse learning needs.

Job Qualifications:

1) A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Education or English language.

2) Demonstrated passion for student achievement and directed effort to raise individual student outcomes.

3) Strong communication skills and be open to new ideas in teaching methods.

4) Preschool or elementary education internship is preferred.
