About this role:

 

China Seeds Regulatory Affairs is seeking a highly motivated specialist to be a key member of current team to deliver essential regulatory objectives to support R&D and business.

 

The main accountabilities are as follows:


·        
Maintain up-to-date and deep understanding of regulatory requirements, procedures and timelines


·        
Ensure timely development and submission of dossiers to get required approvals


·        
Conduct permitting and compliance support to Syngenta biotech R&D center in China


·        
Support compliance and conducting regulated field trials of GM crops


·        
Support to accomplish other team goals as required

 

Critical Knowledge, Skill & Qualification

 


·        
Graduated with university degree (postgraduate is preferred) with knowledge in safety assessment, plant biotechnology, agronomy, breeding, or related area


·        
Strong communication and coordination ability to deal with internal and external stakeholders


·        
Good writing ability in both Chinese and English


·        
Good communication skills in English, written and verbally


·        
Work using own initiative and ability to prioritize work when under time pressure


·        
Ability to handle multiple tasks and play an active and constructive role as a team member


·        
Being flexible and capable to deal with changes and pressures with good judgment


·        
Care for details and accuracy, and open-minded


·        
Good organizational and analytical skills


·        
Knowledge on regulation and registration work, preferred


·        
Established contacts with government officials, academics and influencers, preferred

 

Important Additional Information:


·        
Role based in Syngenta Biotech R&D centre, Changping district, Beijing, China


·        
Early morning or late evening teleconference is required to interact with global colleagues


·        
Domestic and occasional international travel is required
