Job Responsibilities:

• Financial: Responsible for developing and meeting transducer cost target

• Others The job holder may be involved in up to 1-5 projects simultaneously involving typically development of 3 - 7 new transducers or related

• Developments covering mainly customer programs. Some opportunities to work within Research and development

• Into new transducer related technologies will be available

• Key project team member for transducer development on assigned New Product Development Projects as the Engineer responsible and accountable for all Transducer Design Activities within the Project Team. Typically 1-5 projects will be allocated simultaneously involving up to 7 new transducer developments.

• Ensure all customer and internal key project milestones are met

• Key participant in all transducer related problem solving to overcome issues and obstacles within the transducer development process

• Provide technical support on Acoustical performance, durability and cost at design and feasibility reviews involving suppliers and Harman Personnel.

• Produce all relevant documentation such as Bills of Material’s, Sketches, Simulation data, Acoustic data sheets, DFMEA’s, DVP&R’s and all other documentation required to support the design process.

• Use and Maintain the transducer engineering design standards used within Harman/Becker Automotive Systems.

• Provide ongoing technical product support to production facilities

• Prepare technical reports suitable for presentation to all levels within HBAS

• Research and review Competitive Patents and IP through audio publications and online resources.

• Keep up to date with the latest developments in world class best practice in relation to audio product design, simulation, analysis and measurements, materials and manufacturing techniques.

Basic Qualifications:

• Academic: BA/BSc Acoustics, Electronics, or other related field

• Good in Verbal and written communication skills
