We want to invest in growing a Mechanical Product Engineer (MPE) to be part of the Product Engineering team. Key role of the MPE is ensuring the successful design and manufacture of Cisco products (IP phone and video conference system). This position emphasizes early engagement in the design process and continuous participation in all facets of development where manufacturability, quality, cost and a “reliable” supply chain are key factors for a successful release to production.
What You’ll Do
●Support the development of new products by leading the manufacturing effort to define and drive “Design For Manufacturing & Assembly” requirements and verifying those through tolerance analysis, SPC and prototype validation to assure a “smooth” release to production. Product structuring, BOM maintenance, identifying and promoting cost avoidance efforts through appropriate mechanical technologies and supplier selection are other important task of this role.
●Support the product during the entire life cycle providing direction to address issue impacting factory /customers or identifying cost reduction opportunity or manufacturability enhancement.

Qualifications
● Recent graduate or on your final year of studies towards a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering/Industrial Engineering/Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent
●Education in sheet metal, die casting and/or plastics mold technology, extrusion, thermoformed, surface treatments and coating and related manufacturing process.
●Knowledge of 3D CAD applications (e.g. Pro-E, Solidworks)
●Good command communication skills both in English and Mandarin.
