Position Description:
Purpose of the Position:
? Support SBD strategy project, and find potential talent.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
? 1.Collaborates and assists SBD managers with developing, the business case, value proposition, and initial marketing strategy for products or programs throughout the whole cycle of business development
? 2.Works with Sales, Applications Engineering, Product Line Management, Marketing, Development, and other division stakeholders to uncover potential business opportunities in light of new market and customer insights.
? 3.Conducts market and technology analysis to inform early stage opportunity assessments and the development of the division’s strategy.
? 4.Conducts early stage opportunity assessments to prioritize business development efforts.
? 5.Identifies and develops channels to market new opportunities.
? 6.Defines key success metrics for new business opportunities and tracks progress periodically.
? 7.Develops a network within the industry to aid in the understanding of emerging and unmet requirements and informs management of these industry or market conditions.
? 8.May develop strategies to grow overall market.
Project involved with:
? 1~2 strategy project, to be identified when on board
Education & Experience:
MBA or equivalent demonstrated experience (i.e., extensive experience in business).
Work experience in a customer facing role (e.g., sales, marketing, consulting).
Work experience in marketing or product line management.
Required Skills:
Understand market dynamics and financial statements, able to pursue opportunities based on the strength of potential P&L and balance sheet implications.
Desired Skills:
Engineering degree or other formal engineering education.
Work experience in Manufacturing, Engineering, or Development.
Work experience in a start-up environment.
Soft Skills:
Willing to pursue business development efforts with sustained high levels of energy, drive, and enthusiasm.
Strategic thinking with agility, able to deal with ambiguities.
Entrepreneurial mindset, able to use a combination of business / technology understanding and intuition to assess an opportunity.
Understands customers’ current and future needs and able to articulates justification of investment in new business opportunities.
