Job Description
- Responsible for Requirements Engineering for customer specific SW & ECU-HW functions, support ECU Pjm for ECU (SW&HW) release activity.
- Definition & Designing of diesel+ engine vehicle management functions according to customer requirements.
- Analyzing available platform functions, explain engine control function to common Rail customers.
- Define system specific data and system FMEA for electronic diesel engine management.
- Prepare Software & hardware requirements document.
- Provide appropriate design solutions to customer problems.
- Validation of system functions on test bench (Lab car, Engine) and vehicle.
- Support for function modeling.
- Support of ECU series release (MST, SSD, validation test).
- Knowledge of electronics ECU hardware and software architecture is essential.
- Check component specifications against system specification and customer specifications.
- Analyze and verify conformity of engine control unit interfaces (sensors, actuators, writing hams).
- Customer requirement management (tracking, reporting).
- Effort & timeline estimation for development with support from ECU PjM.
- Communicate with other development departments and sales, be able to interface w/ HW & SW developers.
- Requirement engineering and release test, release ECU (HW/SW) for series purpose.
Qualifications
- Masters in Electronics/Electrical/ Mechatronics/instrumentation with SW programming experience with embedded system
- Good English language skills (fluent discussion of technical topics possible)
- Quick in understanding technical relation and consequences
- Broad technical background
- Basic understanding of automotive components and hydraulics (ideally of common rail)
- Preferred industry: automotive, also: consumer electronics (max. 2yrs experience)
- In-depth technical knowledge on diesel/gasoline fuel injection system as well as electronic system, embedded system development background, function modeling experience
