具体职位信息：

Achievements and stimulating challenges:

Under the supervision of the manager of Asia-pacific technical center, the Field Application Engineer supports OPAL-RT’s software and hardware tools for real-time hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) applications. The position is based in Beijing. He is responsible for customer’s on-site training, commissioning and integration, as long as internal support and testing. Supporting OPAL-RT’s distributors in the Asia-pacific region, helping on upcoming deliveries and developing internal support tools is also part of the job.

 

The candidate we seek has technical abilities and a focus on customer satisfaction. He possesses excellent problem-solving skills and solid knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.  He is able to manage both day-to-day customer support and long-term internal projects. The employee will work in Beijing, China. However, the chosen candidate should have a valid passport and be eligible to international travel.

The employee will become available for worldwide travel to customer’s site. Learn multiple aspects of the HIL simulation and its application allowing you to be in close contact with various industries such as power electronics, automotive, aeronautics, electrical drives and more.

Main tasks:

• Technical support and on-site training:

• Handling customer requests from the support portal.

• Participate in providing OPAL-RT product training to customers.

• Conduct simulation studies for clients:

• Model electric circuits and/or power systems.

• Perform case studies.

• Write reports.

• Participate in marketing events and technical seminars:

• Participate in overseas product roll-outs (20 % of time).

• Perform product demonstrations.

 

Requirements:

• Education : Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, or mechanical engineering;

• Experience : 0 to 2 years;

• Required knowledge of tools : MATLAB/Simulink, LabVIEW and Python;

• Basic knowledge of those tools (asset) : Windows, Linux operating systems, FPGA and VHDL programming, Industrial and communication protocols (i.e. CAN, Modbus, IEC61850, Aurora);

• Assets : Hardware-in-the-loop tools (Hypersim, RT-LAB, Typhoon, RTDS, dSpace, ADI), Simulation of power systems (particularly LCC-HVDC and FACTS), and Usage of Xilinx System Generator;

• Language abilities : Mandarin and English required, Korean is an asset;

• Skills required: Customer satisfaction, autonomy and proactivity, planning and organization, good communication skills, teamwork and interpersonal relationships, discipline and determination, flexibly and adaptation, able to deal with ambiguity and pressure.
