Job Summary:
As a Service Engineer trainee, you will provide post-sales services and support to NetApp enterprise customers.
You will team with team members, account teams and customers to understand customer requirements, scope appropriate services, deliver services, manage customer relationship and maintain customers’ experience.
The delivered services include installations, implementation, optimization, reactive case management and proactive account management.
Essential Functions:
The essential responsibilities are to collaborate with other service team members to assist NetApp customers through:
? Installation and configuration of NetApp hardware and software products.
? Implementation of NetApp solutions
? Optimization including upgrades, performance monitoring and system audit tasks.
? Customer support including troubleshooting and problem resolution.
? Risk analysis and account support planning of preventative remediation actions
? Conduct regular operational service reviews and provide customer-tailored best practice recommendations
Job Requirement:
? Good written and verbal communication skills
? Strong aptitude & ability to learn new technologies and processes and apply these in a customer facing environment
? Ability to work collaboratively with team members
? Basic understanding of following techs:
o Unix/Linux
o Windows
o TCP/IP and Networking
o Database
o General knowledge of storage market, trends and competitors. ? Fluent in English (Spoken and writing) ? Off hours and overtime work (nights and weekends) are required.
Education & Experience:
? A Master’s of Science Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field experience is required.
? Some basic knowledge of operating system, network or database is required. Related certifications are preferred.
? Fluent in English (spoken and writing)
