Position Objective:

Cargill Grain & Oilseed Supply China (Center China & Korea) is looking to hire Trading Trainee specializing in all majors.

This position has been created to support risk management business and talent pipeline in China. This is a unique opportunity to obtain such a broad and deep professional training in dynamic and fast changing businesses where employees are encouraged to make decisions, collaborate across trading commodity desks, build hands-on experience, and pursue international careers.

Principal Accountabilities:

Gather, analyze and input key information concerning the different agricultural products into the local Chinese S&D (supply and demand balance sheet);

Manage and keep the local S&D up to date. Discuss locally and with the different trading desks in Geneva;

Make weekly S&D changes report;

Connect with the different merchants on feed demand, and analyze and report the impacts in the market.

Monitor the different agricualtural products’ prices in key locations, including Northeast origination areas, Dalian, Shangdong, YRB, Fujian and Guangdong;

Maintain & analyze daily cash prices and correlate them with DCE futures prices and world prices;

Report price changes in the various regions, more specifically on how price changes affect import and export economics.

Assist the Trading Manager on covering different areas of risk management for the GOSC GCK.

Daily communication with WTU and customers regarding market developments;

Conduct agency business for WTU for the different agricultural products;

Work together with trade execution/accounting/treasury/TSF functions to manage market and customer risk. Keep WTU on the loop.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor degree and above

Up to 2 years working experience in MNCs

University undergraduates who have the passion to learn & grow with the organization through on job practice;

Strong analytical skills and commercial sense;

Proven numerical agility;

Good communication and interpersonal relationship skills;

Willing to step forward with new ideas and challenge status quo;

Acting with conviction and integrity;

Result oriented and accountable;

Fluent in both Mandarin and English, written and verbal.
