Sagard China is one of Power Corporation’s five investment platforms. Sagard China (Power Pacific Corporation Limited, or PPCL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Power Corporation, manages Power 's investment portfolio in China, primarily in China's public equity market including China A shares and H shares. Power was among the first to achieve a QFII license to invest in China's A share market in 2004:

• The first Canadian institution to be granted a QFII license

• One of the first non-bank/insurance/brokerage institutions to be granted a QFII license

Since its inception in 2004, Sagard China has successfully grown its public equity investment activities in China. Currently Sagard China has approximately $550 million in assets in its public equity portfolio of China A, B and H shares. Intern Job Description:                     

Requested work:

1. Assist research analysts to collect, organize, and analyze data including macroeconomics, sector, and specific firms.

2. Conduct on-line research for specific topic.

3. Make cold call to collect industry information.

4. Update and file news under the analyst’s guidance.

5. Assist analysts to prepare the investment presentation files and charts.

6.Fill primitive financial models before conference meeting and company visits by research analysts.

Requirement

1. Have impeccable personal integrity and team spirit

2. Have strong analytical ability and good common sense

3. Excellent written and oral communication skills in both Chinese and English

4. Sense in financial statements and numerical skills will be preferred

5. Solid educational qualification
