Program Introduction:

Hosted by China Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research (CNIBR) in Shanghai, one of the top R&D centers of Novartis globally, the CNIBR Research and Development (R&D) Trainee Program recruits young talent with a Bachelor or Master’s degree and offers scientific and professional training with Novartis leading scientists as mentors in the state-of-the-art Novartis Shanghai Campus.

During the two-year program, trainees will receive fundamental training that equips them with essential skills and knowledge in real-world drug discovery and perform scientific assignments with their mentors in the open and diverse lab settings.

Those who deliver a strong performance upon completion of the program will have the opportunity to apply for FTE positions at CNIBR.

The ideal candidates are:

- Master graduates within 1 year post graduation
- Major in Life sciences, Medicine, Pharmaceutical sciences or related field with average GPA above 3.0 (4.0 scale) in major courses
- Motivated to develop career in pharmaceutical industry
- Good experiences in standard molecular and cellular biology methods
- Details oriented and critical thinking
- Good team player and sound communication skill in English
