Challenge Program
This is a 3.5-year graduate program with three placements, providing early career development opportunities for high potential young graduates to accumulate cross BU knowledge/skills to be future leaders. With structured development plan, graduates will benefit from a broad base of support and trainings from senior leaders, line manager, mentor and colleagues. All these personal mentoring, structured learning programs, expert advice and regular appraisals will help prepare you for great success with BP.
There will be 3 assignments offered as rotation within the program, on top of the global graduates’ offerings on learning and development. The rotation will be primarily managed within GME business in the country, wherever possible cross-business rotations will be considered to maximize both the company benefit and the individual’s.
Role Synopsis
Global Marine and Energy (GME) business unit in Lubricants SPU is a leading provider of premium, value-added lubricants products and services to the Maine and Energy sector through the use of distinctive people, technology and marketing capabilities. The Marine and Energy business in China is one of the key contributors to the global Marine Lubricants performance, and is one of the key engines of growth.
The role is built up in order to strengthen the talent pipeline in the Global Marine and Energy (GME) business and BP China talent pool as well.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- To implement account management strategy effectively to grow our business and increase premium product sales
- To develop Marine and Energy customers through value selling approach
- To understand customer needs and competitor’s approach, and build and maintain customer relationships
- To understand and implement company’s pricing strategy to maximize business profitability
- To liaise with technical engineers and customer service team to provide customers with best class support
- To work with Account Manager, Customer Service team, Invoice team and Regional Credit team closely to improve payment collection performance.
It’s a challenging setting with high standards and expectations but also great rewards. You’ll become an expert in understanding BP Lubricants’ products and in promoting our brand across global markets.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree or above, major preferably in Marine engineering or transportation engineering
- Good command of English in both oral and written
- Skilful user of Microsoft office system
- Internship experience in multinational company is an advantage
