Responsibilities:
Manage and facilitate the translation phase of multilingual localization projects
Co-ordinate, support and coach the designated language teams by providing direction, expertise, and hands-on help
Co-ordinate with the client, Project Management Team and/or other resources on major language quality issues
Acts as the designated Language Consultant / Contact for the client and work in partnership with the Project Management Team
Manage and centralize customer and internal language assets (style guides, glossaries, TMs etc.).
Responsible for the overall language quality on each project
Assist in the design, review and sign-off of language quality processes and initiatives.
Ensure all Quality processes/standards are consistent across all languages
Ensure all language work is planned, scheduled, and carried out correctly
Contribute and sign-off on Project plans
Ensure all communications are customer focused and of the highest quality
Ensure all Company policies are adhered to at all times
Assist PMs and Management with any vendor or language team performance issues
Provide reports/feedback to Senior Language Coordinator and Management on Language Quality issues
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Languages/Translation, or equivalent experience
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Able to communicate in English, in a clear and simple manner in both spoken and written form
Written and verbal skills in another foreign language in addition to English (Korean, Japanese, German etc.) are a plus
Have some basic knowledge of different language conventions and/or translation skills, as well as working knowledge of Microsoft Office (like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), email and Internet communications
Have some basic ideas of the localization knowledge and process in a multilingual environment, cultural awareness, language processes, domain/project-specific knowledge, including CAT/QA/QC tools, commonly used productivity tools/language management systems
Ability to prioritize and work efficiently under tight deadlines and in stressful situations
Strong attention to detail and quality focused
