Supply Chain Consultant Location: Shanghai (China) To strengthen our team in Shanghai, China, we are looking for: 1 (junior) Supply Chain consultant 1 (junior) technical (supply chain) consultant Responsibilities As a Supply Chain Consultant you will have only one aim: to provide the customers with innovative supply chain solutions that work. You will visit our customers on a regular basis, about 30% of your time. You start with analyzing their challenging planning needs. You will design a prototype, develop the model and optimize your solution. At all times you will work in close collaboration with your colleagues working on the same projects. You will implement the planning and scheduling solution with our planning tools. You will validate it with the customer’s project team. Finally, you will train the customers in the use of their new advanced planning solution.
Involvement in business development activities can also be part of your job. As a more technical consultant you take care of the more technical part of the job, e.g. integration issues and customized algorithms. Profile As an Application Supply Chain Consultant you have a master degree with specialization in production management and/or logistics and a basic knowledge of IT. As a Technical Supply Chain Consultant you have a master degree with a technical background combined with a basic interest in supply chain planning. You are fluent in Chinese (Mandarin) and English. Knowledge of any other additional language such as German, Spanish, French or Dutch is a surplus. You will receive part of your training in Europe during the first 6 to 12 months of your career and are willing to spend periods of up-to several weeks in Europe.
