* Achieve budgeted level of order intake by product range, within agreed mandate for pricing and for terms & conditions * Develop customer interest in Nanoscience products by discussions, presentations and site visits. * Respond in a timely and competent manner to product enquiries and issue price quotations in the defined territory. * Use the RFQ (request for quotation) process appropriately to define offers for non-standard products * Track, guide and support prospects, either directly or via agents/distributors throughout the funding and order cycles. * Transfer all data to ACT! (Customer database) and maintain the database on a daily basis. * Keep records of all quotations, won and lost orders, and provide regular reports of activities and sales forecasts * Support new product launches, attend conferences and gather market intelligence. * Work with colleagues in marketing, product management, and NPI functions to improve current products, sales documentation and define market trends. * Optimize customer satisfaction by clearly communicating the order details, and working with operations and later customer support to ensure we meet and exceed our customers’ expectations. |
