There will also be occasional requirements for the Technician to be available to support school events after school and sometimes weekends.     Skills： 1) BA degree in Chemistry, Biology, Physics or relevant Science major. 2) At least 2 years relevant working experience in the education field, preferably in the high performance school or university. 3) Good subject knowledge of Science to high school level or better. 4) Good understanding of lab safety. 5) Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, optimistic, and supportive personality. 6) A high functional use of English and understanding of written and verbal English. 7) Excellent organizational skills to manage the storage and maintenance of physics equipment. 8) Mechanical skills and ability to fix broken equipment and set up equipment to specifications. 9) Good computer skills, familiar with relevant software.    Responsibilities： 1) Quickly setting up and testing demonstration equipment according to teacher specifications 2) Quickly setting up and testing student lab equipment in an organized manner according to teacher and CIE specifications 3) Tearing down and organizing equipment with the same enthusiasm 4) Storing, organizing and managing lab equipment (equipment includes mechanics, heat, waves and optics, and electricity & magnetism) 5) Testing data logger components with the computer interface 6) Communicating via email and connect with equipment suppliers 7) Building relationships with suppliers, negotiate for the best deal, and purchase needed supplies 8) Attending department meetings 9) Assisting other lab technician as needed in setting up, tearing down, organizing and maintaining equipment for chemistry, biology, physics, and general science classes 10) Maintaining confidentiality when students will sit a practical exam 11) Setting up equipment for extra-curricular activities 12) Forming excellent teacher-student relationships and to act as a form tutor for students 13) Other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.
