Working with over 200 clients, FDM Group is a global professional services provider with a focus on IT. We are now seeking a Technical IT Trainer based in our brand new Hong Kong Centre to create and deliver stimulating and effective training in Software Development.

As an IT Trainer you will draw on your industry experience and skills to deliver engaging, exciting and quality training. Working within a positive and dynamic environment you will play an integral role in inspiring and motivating the next generation of IT professionals.

In this role you will need to deliver theoretical presentations on technical subject areas followed by live code demonstrations. Provide support to training groups to help trouble shoot and lead weekly projects and assessments.

 

Minimum required skills:

·         3 years professional software development experience with Object Oriented languages (Preferably Java)

·         Approachable personality

·         Ability to present technical concepts

·         Able to coach and mentor individuals

·         Good level of spoken and written English

·         Proactive approach to learning new technologies to broaden coverage of existing technical modules

 

Nice to have:

·         Experience in AGILE delivery is a plus (TDD, BDD)

·         Experience using a UNIX based OS and some shell scripting

·         Experience with any relational database languages (Oracle SQL preferred)

·         Experience with Java frameworks e.g. Spring, JPA, JDBC, Java Enterprise Edition (Servlets)

·         Experience with web technologies HTML 5, CSS, Javascript, JSON/JQuery, JSP

·         Experience with Continuous integration tools such as Jenkins

·         Experience with source control tools such as Git or SVN
