Postdoctoral Position in Source Apportionment of Fine Particulate Matter at Peking University

1. Introduction

Profile

Prof. Mei Zheng’s research focuses on developing tools for source apportionment and chemical speciation of PM_2.5 and carbonaceous aerosol such as BC. The primary goal is to improve accuracy of source apportionment of PM_2.5 and to better understand impacts of air pollutants on human health and climate change. She is interested in interdisciplinary research for improved and integrated methods to study sources of aerosol including receptor modeling with organic and inorganic tracers, source-oriented modeling, and isotope analysis such as ¹⁴C. Prof. Zheng leads a research team at Peking University and the on-going projects include online source apportionment of PM_2.5, and sources of brown carbon, marine aerosol and haze in China.

2. Research Interest

Source apportionment of fine particulate matter in land and marine atmosphere

3. Requirement

a. PhD major in Atmospheric Science, or Environmental Science or Environmental Engineering.

b. Two SCI publications (first or corresponding author)

c. Experience in measurement and air quality model

d. Excellent oral and written communication skills
