Job Responsibility:

1. Participation in development teams for new products starting in the early concept phase with responsibility for conduction of the entire target costing process until product launch.
2. Calculation of best practice cost targets for new catalogue-products and for new customized products planned for production in GPC Jinan during concept phase and development phase.
3. Cooperating with design engineer, industrial engineer and purchasing to conduct the selection, planning and commissioning of suitable production technologies, as well as assembly and automation concepts for reliable production of semi-finished and finished products for all sources of supply in compliance with committed cost targets.
4. Preparation of Make or Buy decisions, and dominating cost commitment workshop.
5. After product launch, drive the cross-functions through the planned and agreed measures according to the agreed specification framework in production and purchasing. Objective is to achieve target costs within one to three years timeframe after product launch.
6. Conduction of competitive product analysis and cost breakdowns of relevant products from competition especially in the concept phase of new products.
7. Support cost benchmarking for cost reduction projects.
8. Provide NPI monitoring report for new product development, including target/planned/actual cost and volume development data.
