Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead implementation of FORD product development process / quality operating system and ensure the milestone deliverables to be completed on time with quality for new programs;

• Lead design and develop Body Exterior Components and/or sub-systems (Sheet Metal parts, or plastic parts) to meet all requirements including cost/quality/timing when solving issues;

• Responsible for robust design verifications, engineering signoff and production validations;

• Identify and select suppliers to meet Ford cost, quality, volume and timing requirements with cross-functional team;

• Develop suppliers to be capable of supporting forward model programs;

• Liaise with core engineering, design activities, program teams, attributes and manufacturing plants in receiving counties;

• Deliver quality methodologies and reliability processes for long term and lasting quality;

• Support all APQP activities including PPAP signoff;

• Provide assembly plant support during prototype/launch/post J1 phases or as required.

• Resolve issues and manage engineering changes during commodity launch/Post J1;

• Correlation with APA/global engineering team to make sure quality improvement align with global strategy.

• Responsible for Body Exterior Parts Cost Reduction ideas for various vehicle programs.

• Responsible for Body Exterior Parts quality improvement for various vehicle programs.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor Degree or above in Automobile/ Mechanical/Tooling Engineering require

• Good English communication capability

• Willing to travel inside China

• Good usage of Excel, PowerPoint and Word

• Personality and Leadership Skills:

  -Willing to take more responsibility, have ownership for the assignments, self-driving

       -Be Proactive and Passionate

• Basic function knowledge of:

  -Auto component/subsystem and vehicle assembling and launch process

  -Drawing, GD&T and CAD systems

      -Design sense and with verification test planning/execution

• Other specific/experience preferred, not must:

       -Intern experience in Auto OEM or suppliers

       -Quality/Reliability process/tools, for example Design Failure Model Engineering Analysis (FMEA), Design Verification    Planning/Reports, and Global 8D; Process FMEA and control plans
