On behalf of Magna and all the Magna Groups, providing business development support, customer and other support for generating and maintaining new business at the Japanese, German customers as well as China Local OEM customers. Support of joint ventures and other partnerships with the OEMs and/ or suppliers as appropriate and as requested by Group or Magna management.
Identify, maintain regular good contact with mid-level management at Japanese, German as well as Chinese OEM customers
Oversee the broad customer interface to ensure Magna is well represented at each customer via identification of needs, informing the Groups of such needs and supporting/coaching the Groups in trying to satisfy these needs
Conduct “Pre-RFQ” activity to ensure Magna Groups are well positioned for the RFQ Process and targeted awards
Identify customer timelines for new programs to ensure Groups are informed as far as possible in advance of RFQ’s being issued and coach them as necessary in the specifics of each OEM’s quotation system
Work with the Groups to help identify their annual bookings targets for each OEM customer
Liaise with Group Sales Managers to understand the competitive landscape at each customer
Conduct quarterly meetings as necessary with Group Sales and Program leads to ensure full communication occurs across Groups on all relevant information pertaining to that customer and all open programs and report out on these meetings to Magna and Group management
Liaise on a regular basis with the Magna Global Executive Lead for each customer and provide him with the necessary information on the China segment of each program and also funnel information from this Lead to the China Group staff on the global program and all issues pertaining to the engineering and purchasing on this program at the OEMs headquarters
Monitor new energy vehicle market trends and government policy changes, identify the proper opportunities for components group with minimum investment
Conduct market studies, surveys and other competition research in support of finding new opportunities
Closely study market trends to identify new partnership opportunities for Magna and the Groups
Perform other duties as require
Bachelor degree or above , major in automotive engineering or business is preferred
Excellent analytical and communication skill
Strong team player, able to work effectively within matrix organization
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast pace environment
Self-motivated
Excellent communication skill in both Chinese, Japanese (or German) and English
