产品简介: Vertica是一款基于列存储的MPP （massively parallel processing）架构的数据库。它可以支持存放多至PB（Petabyte）级别的结构化数据。Vertica是由关系数据库大师Michael Stonebraker(2014 年图灵奖获得者)所创建，于2011年被惠普收购并成为其核心大数据平台软件，2017年MicroFocus和HPE软件部门合并后归属Micro Focus旗下。

专业要求：计算机相关专业，熟悉数据库原理，操作系统，分布式系统

语言要求：英语能够口语沟通

Vertica provides a state-of-the-art Big Data Analytics platform that handles petabytes of data. It is a commercially successful, high performance, distributed database. We build tools which support many different use-cases, being flexible enough to be used for many applications. In this position, you would work on the core data management components of Vertica, building features, improving performance, and fixing bugs. Write C /Python code! Figure out tricky distributed algorithms! Create designs which will support parallelism and concurrency!

You must have a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. 
 
 
 
Responsibilities: 
 
？ Design, implement, and optimize database features that support real-life-customer needs; including gathering requirements for new features by interacting with support, sales engineers, and customers 
 
？ Research and identify applicable state-of-the-art algorithms and techniques in databases, analyze their applicability, and perform cost-benefit analysis 
 
？ Develop and document intellectual properties 
 
？ Debug a complex system 
 
？ Cross-functional collaboration 
 
？ Write unit tests and work with QA on plans for functional, performance, and stress test 
 
？ Mentor junior programmers and help them become excellent software engineers
