暨南大学伯明翰大学联合学院于2016年9月获得教育部批准成立。学院开设数学与应用数学、信息与计算科学、经济统计学及经济学四个专业。学院各专业的培养方案由暨南大学和伯明翰大学共同制定，以培养具备扎实数学基础、出色创新能力与合作精神、多语言优势及国际视野的高级复合型人才为基本目标。符合双方学术要求的学生将同时获得暨南大学和伯明翰大学两校学位。

暨南大学伯明翰大学联合学院在为四个专业招聘具有资历和经验的课程负责人（在讲师，副教授或教授级别）。学院诚邀来自全球具有丰富教学经验和研究能力的人才加盟，共同打造高水平的中英合作人才培养和研究中心。

教授/副教授：

1. 具有良好师德师风、学术声誉和道德品行；

2. 在国内外知名高校、科研机构有正式教学或科研职位且具有副教授以上职称者；

3. 全英语授课能力优秀；

4. 国家级教学研究项目负责人，科技重大项目或社会科学重大项目的负责人；

5. 或自然科学类，作为第一作者或通讯作者在本学科权威期刊上发表3篇及以上学术论文;人文社会科学类，作为第一作者或通讯作者在本科权威期刊上发表2篇及以上学术论文；

6. 或所发表的第一作者或通讯作者学术论文经SCI、EI、SSCI、A&HCI检索，单篇近五年被他人引用30次以上者；

7. 其他学术地位、水平与此相当者。

注：1、2、3为基本要求，4、5、6、7满足其中一项即可。

讲师：

1. 具有良好师德师风、学术声誉和道德品行；

2. 具有相关专业博士学位；

3. 国际教育背景；

4. 全英语授课能力优秀；

5. 作为第一作者或通讯作者身份在本学科顶级刊物上发表1篇学术论文；或曾发表1篇影响因子超过10的学术论文；

6. 或作为第一作者或通讯作者身份在本学科权威刊物上发表2篇学术论文；

7. 或所发表的第一作者或通讯作者学术论文经SCI、EI、SSCI、A&HCI检索，单篇近五年被他人引用30次以上者；

8. 其他学术地位、水平与此相当者。

教授/副教授：

讲师：

1. 教授课程、研讨会和辅导课；

2. 为学生的学术写作和项目提供指导；

3. 准备和编写教学材料；

4. 参加各种委员会和会议；

5. 准备所需文件，对学生学习进度进行评分和报告； 

6. 担任学生作业和项目的阅卷人、第二阅卷人或内部协调人；

Jinan University-University of Birmingham Joint Institute

Position: Professor/ Associate Professor/Lecturer

Location: Panyu Campus, Jinan University, Guangzhou, China

Brief introduction of J-BJI:

Jinan University, established in 1906, located in the historical and modern city of Guangzhou, is a leading ‘211 Project’ Chinese university, and one of the universities in the national project of building world-class universities and disciplines. We have an international outloook and over 50,000 students. Twelve subject areas at Jinan University are ranked in the top 1% on the ESI（Essential Science Indicators）ranking scale.

The University of Birmingham is a public research university located in Birmingham, United Kingdom. It is a founding member of both the ‘Russell Group’ of British research universities and the International Network of Research Universities, ‘Universitas 21’. UoB is ranked amongst the top 100 universities globally.

Jinan University-University of Birmingham Joint Institute at Jinan University is approved by the Chinese Ministry of Education in 2016. The joint institute offers four undergraduate programs: Mathematics and Applied Mathematics, Information and Computing Science, Economic Statistics, and Economics. The Training Scheme of the Joint Institute is jointly formulated by JNU and University of Birmingham (UoB).The primary aim of these programs is to cultivate high-level talents who are equipped with solid mathematical skills, global vision, strong competitiveness in innovative capability, and foreign language proficiency. Students that meet academic requirements of both universities will be conferred degrees from both Jinan University and University of Birmingham.

We are looking for a qualified and experienced program leader for one of the four programs (at the rank of Lecturer, Associate Professor or Professor). The Joint Institute welcomes high caliber faculty of diverse background from around the world to join us in establishing a top-tier Joint Institute in China.

Requirements:

Professor/ Associate Professor Level

1. Has professional ethics and good academic reputation ;

2. Currently working in internationally renowned universities or research institutes, with academic title of Associate Professor or above;

3. Competency in using English as the teaching medium

4. Meet one of the following conditions:

a.Head of National Teaching and Research Project or National Science and Technology Major Project or Social Science Major Project 

b.For natural sciences: Has published at least 3 academic papers in authoritative journals of the discipline as the first or corresponding author. For humanities and social sciences: has published at least 2 academic papers in the authoritative journals of the discipline as first author or corresponding author;

c.Has published at least 1 academic paper with at least 30 citations in SCI, EI, SSCI or A&HCI as the first or corresponding author;

d.Other qualifications similar to the above.

Lecturer Level

1.Has professional ethics and good academic reputation

2. PhD degree in relevant field

3. Overseas Education Background

4. Competency in using English as the teaching medium

5 .Meet one of the following conditions in recent five years:

a.At least one academic paper in an internationally recognized Journal in relevant field or at least one paper in journals with influence factor over 10;

b.At least two academic papers published in authoritative journals of relevant field as the first or corresponding author;

c.At least one academic paper published with at least 30 citations in SCI, EI, SSCI or A&HCI as the first or corresponding author;

d.Other qualifications similar to the above.

Responsibilities：

Professor/ Associate Professor

You would need to ensure that a lens of academic excellence and the student experience is driving all decision-making related to planning, budgeting, resource allocation, design, programming, etc. You will work with the senior management team in framing the governance and management structures and administrative services to support the academic mission.

Lecturer

1. Deliver lectures, seminars, and tutorials

2. Provide guidance on students’ academic writing and projects

3. Prepare and develop teaching materials

4. Participate in various committees and boards

5. Prepare required documentation for grading and reporting on student progress

6. Act as marker and second marker or internal moderator for student assignments and projects

7. Participate in school projects and functions, accreditation, validation, moderation, staff development workshops, seminars and conferences, where necessary.
