University degree
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
Degree qualified, you will be a 6-sigma Black Belt with extensive knowledge of best practice tools and techniques in addition to experience of people or project management. Together with a basic understanding of lean manufacturing techniques, you will have a proven track record in problem solving within a service or industrial manufacturing environment. The cross- functional nature of this role means you will be well versed in managing change and focused on results through securing commitment from key business personnel. You will possess the ability to impart a business improvement philosophy across the organisational culture, linking improvements to short and long term benefits. In this role it is necessary to be extremely persuasive, persistent and dedicated to change, to demonstrate infectious enthusiasm, to understand the true meaning of being customer focused, be a strong communicator at all levels and adept at engaging people to work together towards a common aim.
A knowledge of Power Plant or other mechanical engineering background would be an advantage but not mandatory, as product knowledge training will be given.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the Quality Manager, the successful candidate will be involved in following aspects:
Project management of business improvement projects throughout our company utilising continuous improvement principles and initiatives including 6-sigma
Leading cross-functional teams and co-ordinating resources necessary to ensure required objectives are achieved
Facilitating change in order to enable successful implementation of project deliverables
To provide effective communications across all functions within the organisation
Provide energy and enthusiasm to accelerate the implementation of improvements
Development of effective measurement techniques capable of supporting the business continual improvement strategy
Championing a continuous improvement philosophy into the organisational culture
Coaching and training employees in business improvement techniques to ensure implemented improvements can be sustained
Undertaking regular reviews to ensure that the initiatives continue to meet the Company's goals and objectives
