General Summary:
Support the work of VBI Safety Committee, Director of Pharmacology, and Director of Bio-analytics.
Responsibilities:
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the followings.
Tasks assigned by VBI Safety Committee, Director of Pharmacology, and Director of Bio-analytics
Chemical Hygiene Plan-toxins, carcinogens, mutagens, etc
Radioisotope Usage in Animals
Blood Borne Pathogen Plan
Occupational Health
Waste Anesthetic Gas Exposure
Injury Illness Prevention Plan
SKILLS , KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
Decision Making
Must be able to work independently and be very organized. Be able to establish independent procedures for attaining specific goals and objectives in a broad area of work. Be able to maintain confidentiality in all matters.
Communication
Be able to communicate on a regular basis with administration, and different Committee chairmen, Study Directors and their staff. Be able to communicate in a professional/respectful way when answering calls.
Requirements:
Education and Experience:
Experience in biomedical research preferred. Bachelor degree or above of Biomedical sciences is expected.
Knowledge and Skills:
Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills and strong computer skills in word processing, databases and spreadsheets; Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks, completing assigned tasks in an organized, timely fashion while meeting all target deadlines; Must be able to establish and maintain strong positive working relationships throughout the organization.
English Level:
Good oral and written English, basic biomedical English is expected.
