Job Summary:
This person will oversee the development of our new product range each season. This will require the person to work closely with the product development person in the USA to determine which products to develop. They will need to work with the suppliers to ensure samples and commercialization materials are provided and to review any problems with the new products. In the plant this person will arrange test running of the fabrics and the testing in the laboratory to check quality and performance. The performance of the products will be summarized and documented so that the product launch can be approved and the product transferred to full production. Finally technical data for the customer launch will need to be prepared. The NPD person will work closely with the vendor management team, the process engineers and the plant quality team.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Ensure new fabrics are developed on time
2.Ensure all quality testing and commissioning has been completed
3.Document new product development
4.Work with suppliers to identify and solve problems with the vendor team
5.Work with product specialists in the US to develop good products
6.Understand trends in new fabrics with our suppliers and generally
Requirements:
1.Degree held with chemical major.
2.Good communication skills in English
3.Fabric quality experience preferred
4.Good initiative and self motivation
5.Hard working under pressure
