Today, GM has automotive facilities and sales operations in more than 15 countries. GM Asia Pacific earned a record $729 million on revenue of $6.98 billion in 20 04. With sales of 887,000 vehicles, its market share rose to 5.2 percent. In 1993, GM established its Asia Pacific headquarters in Singapore to provide regional support and be closer to individual markets and better positioned to respond to opportunities.
