Group Overview： Microsoft Research Asia Media Communication Group is recruiting visiting student.
Media Communication Group aims to develop applications and services to advance communication and collaboration among various platforms and under different network conditions.
Researchers in the Media Communication Group leverage their expertise in audio/video compression, image processing, networking, user interface, and database management to develop practical applications and services for both consumers and information workers. The group's research is used across the realm of communications applications including instant messaging, VoIP, video conferencing, Push-To-Talk, video streaming, broadcasting, and blogging. The group's innovations have made an impact on a number of Microsoft products and technologies.

Roles & Responsibilities：We are recruiting interns to work on an innovative and challenging software project.
Required Qualifications：MSRA Media Communication Group is recruiting talented students with following requirements:
1. PhD or M.Sc candidate majored in CS/EE.
2. Strong skills in development especially experienced with C/C++ and socket programming.
3. Familiar with congestion control protocols.
4. At least 3-month full-time internship (Need advisors' approval).

o drive the next generation of Web search by leveraging data mining, machine l
earning, and knowledge discovery techniques for information analysis, organiza
tion, retrieval, and visualization. In addition, in contrast with current Web 
search methods, which essentially do document-level ranking and retrieval, the
 Web Search & Data Mining Group has created search at the object level to brin
g increased knowledge and intelligence to users.
Roles & Responsibilities	1.	Assist researchers in research projects
2.	Explore innovative technical solutions
3.	Construct data structure and algorithms
4.	Write quality code for experiments, prototypes, and demos
Required Qualifications	If you are
1.	BS/MS in CS/EE or any related technical field and possess the following ski
lls;
2.	Have background and experience on NLP(Natural Language Processing), Text mi
ning, IR(Information Retrieval), Web search;
3.	Good programming skills of C/C++/C#, ;

6.	Good communication skills and excellent teamwork.
