The Learning & Development Specialist is a champion and advocate for the development of "the many" co-workers in the IKEA Store. By partnering with and supporting line-managers, the L&D specialist will contribute to securing an exceptional learning environment by providing expertise, experience, and knowledge of learning tools, methodology, and best practices which facilitate personal as well as professional development for all co-workers.
Main Responsibilities
Needs Assessment & Analysis.
To assess the developmental needs of each individual co-worker in partnership with line-managers using a systematic assessment process.
To assess and determine the learning & development needs of the organisation based on individual co-worker assessment, line manager feedback, business plan priorities, KPI's, and other relevant sources of input.
Learning Tools Co-ordination, Facilitation, Maintenance & Development
To maintain and co-ordinate in partnership with line-managers, the facilitation of all store-based learning programmes and tools.
To ensure learning facilities and reference resources are safeguarded, monitored, and maintained.
To ensure the communication of learning and development opportunities for all co-workers.
Tracking, Administration & Follow-up.
To maintain a system to track learning programmes linked to development plans, succession plans, and training hours.
To maintain a system that evaluates programme tools and learning outcomes against key performance indicators.
Knowledge
Previous HR/Learning & Development experience.
Knowledge, understanding, & a strong interest in helping people develop.
A strong understanding of the IKEA Concept and an ambassador of the IKEA Culture & Values.
Skill
Highly effective and creative written and verbal communication skills
Able to design and deliver training programmes.
Assessment skills.
Ability
