The Open Source Technology Center (OTC) team is an organization under 
Software and Solution Group(SSG) of Intel Asia-pacific Research & Dev
elopment Ltd. Our mission is enabling Linux software system on Ultra 
Mobile Device based on Low Power Intel Architecture. We'd like to 
hire interns to join us to develop and validate the software for the
Linux System on the Ultra Mobile Device.

 

In short, we will validate the Operating System, device drivers based 
on Low Power Intel Architecture processor and multimedia applications
If you'd like to improve your knowledge and experience in the Intel

Title

         Linux System and Device Driver Software Intern

Responsibilities
  
         The intern is responsible for developing Linux system and 
device drivers. Optimize LINUX system structure and driver for ultra
mobile device. Discover UMD new usage model. 

 

Qualifications

   Linux driver programming skill is required.
   Programming skill of C, ASM of Intel Architecutre is required.
   Programming skill of script language, like BASH Perl Python, is
       preferred.
   Knowledge of software engineer and quality assurance is preferred.
   Good problem analysis and problem solving skills, ability to work 
       independently
   Be familiar with traditional GNU tools, such as vi,find,grep,tar
       ,gzip, gunzip, etc.
   Fluent English communication skill is preferred.
   Major in Computer Science Software Engineering Electronic Engine
        ering is required.
   0.5 year internship duration is required, while 1 year internship
        duration is preferred.

         Multimedia Software developing 

Responsibilities:

         The intern is responsible for enable/develop the correctness of 
multimedia decoder & encoder behavior under Linux environment. Optimize 
codec for UMD. Discover UMD new usage model. 

 

Qualifications:

  Programming skill of C/C++/ASM of Intel Architecutre is required.
  Programming skill of C, ASM of Intel Architecutre is required.
  Multimedia background is required, such as MP3, MPEG4, JPEG, GSMAMR
  Knowledge of multimedia framework is preferred.
  Programming skill of script language, like BASH/Perl/Python, is 
     preferred.
  Knowledge of software engineer and quality assurance is preferred.
  Good problem analysis and problem solving skills, ability to work 
     independently
