Position Summary The FPS Program Materials Coordiator is the single point of focus within an FPS Program Team tasked to support and drive critical materials-related tasks to ensure timely and cost-effective program/business objectives. This individual will work as an integral part of the Engineering and Program Management team, and serve as the liaison for materials matters between the Program Team and supporting functions: Global Sourcing, Global Commodity Management, Factory Materials. Reporting directly to the FPS Materials Operations Manager, this individual will be based out of the FPS Design Center, but will flexibly work at the Flextronics Manufacturing Facilities as required by the program. Essential Job Functions Responsible for Twice Monthly Key Operating Indicators (KPI) for assigned program/project, working closely with Factory SCM Team to drive the FPS Supply Chain Execution Dashboard. Overall project line(s) responsibility for all aspects of materials – from NPI to Production Release to End of Life • Cost Management • Material Pipelining • Supplier Selection and Qualification • Supplier Management and Issue Resolution • NPI Build Support • Production Build Readiness • ECO Management – Change Impact Responsible to support Prototype builds when completed at their respective factory. • Assist in Material communication as it relates to their respective site. • Support procurement efforts to tactically secure required materials for critical NPI builds. • The Material communication includes but is not limited to Design, Documentation, Operations, and Customer communications. Liaison for materials-related activities with Business/Program Management, Global Sourcing, Global Commodity Managers (GCM). Material representation will also be required for Customer visits at the mfg site. Accountable for cost reduction and cost avoidance efforts working with the Manufacturing site and global sourcing organizations. Includes but is not limited to localized items such as packaging. Accountable for Lead time reduction and Lead time increase avoidance efforts working with the Manufacturing site global sourcing organizations. Interface with suppliers will also be required. Support supply chain activities including weekly shortage, communication of issues to the Global PM, SMI implementation, and any other activity to ensure best supply chain and the continuity of supply. Coordinate alternate sourcing suggestions with the manufacturing site and the global sourcing organizations. Essential Job Requirements: EDUCATION College Graduate Educational background in Engineering or Quantitative Sciences EXPERIENCE Procurement experience in high-tech manufacturing environment. Proven experience contributing to project teams. Preparing and presenting highly detailed analysis to management as part of recommendations to help achieve program objective. Supplier negotiations. Project Management. Process Development. REQUIRED SKILLS Must have very strong organizational and problem solving skills. Strong knowledge and experience on the Microsoft applications such as Excel, Work, and PowerPoint are necessary. Some knowledge in Visio and Project are beneficial. Experience managing projects using Microsoft Project Plan or similar project execution software programs. Strong command of both written and spoken Mandarin Chinese and English Strong interpersonal skills and a good written & verbal command of English are essential. PREFERRED SKILLS Knowledge and experience on Agile, Baan, and Cognos Impromptu are beneficial.
